Responsibilities

The Enterprise Systems Engineer with expertise in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) will be responsible for ensuring the security, availability, and resilience of the organization's critical systems and data. This position will design, implement, and maintain BCDR solutions that safeguard operations against disruptions. This position requires advanced knowledge of Commvault and Azure BCDR technologies, including their configuration, optimization, and integration within a healthcare enterprise environment. Additionally, responsibilities include managing and integrating enterprise storage platforms to support scalable, high-performing, and reliable data management systems. This position should possess strategic thinking capabilities, technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. This position requires the ability to independently identify and fulfill responsibilities with minimal oversight, especially on critical matters. The role frequently involves exercising discretion and independent judgment, evaluating different options, and making informed decisions. The position is expected to effectively prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and ensure deadlines are consistently met.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT with a focus on business continuity, disaster recovery, and backup solutions.
  3. Expertise in Commvault and Microsoft Azure BCDR technologies.
  4. Commvault Certified Professional (CCP) or higher.
  5. Proficiency in enterprise storage platforms, including NetApp, Pure Storage, and other SAN/NAS technologies.
  6. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization, networks, and cloud environments.
  7. Experience in healthcare IT is a strong plus, with knowledge of regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and HITRUST.
  8. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with experience creating technical documentation and presentations.
  10. Understands hospital business operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of IT applications in the practicing healthcare environment.
  11. Open to travelling up to 50% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

  1. Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure BCDR-related certifications
  2. Certifications in storage platforms such as NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or Pure Storage Certified Professional.
  3. ITIL, CISSP, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Pay Transparency

Prime Healthcare offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options.  Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary.  A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $68,640.00 to $106,662.40 on an annualized basis. The compensation estimate noted above is specific to California and has not been adjusted for any other geographic location. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
