Responsibilities

The Director of Software & Data Transformation is a strategic and technical leadership role responsible for overseeing the design, development, and execution of software systems, analytics platforms, and data transformation initiatives. This position plays a key part in modernizing legacy systems, driving enterprise data integration, and enabling analytics across the organization. This position has strong background in software development, data architecture, and business intelligence capable of leading cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-impact technology solutions. This position brings deep experience in healthcare IT, including software systems supporting clinical operations, electronic health record (EHR) data conversions, and population health analytics. This position will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant technology solutions that improve patient care, streamline operations, and support organizational growth. This position requires the ability to independently identify and fulfill responsibilities with minimal oversight, especially on critical matters. The role frequently involves exercising discretion and independent judgment, evaluating different options, and making informed decisions. The position is expected to effectively prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and ensure deadlines are consistently met.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Health Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
  2. 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in leadership roles within a healthcare environment.
  3. Strong background in healthcare software systems, EHR integration, and data platforms.
  4. Familiarity with HIPAA, HITECH, and other healthcare IT regulatory frameworks.
  5. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), data lakes, and modern analytics tools.
  6. Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  7. Open to travelling up to 50% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree in health informatics, Business, or related field.
  2. Experience with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
  3. Certifications in PMP, Agile, or relevant health IT systems.

Prime Healthcare offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options.  Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary.  A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $135,200.00 to $195,811.20 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
