Overview

Position: Central Sterile Supervisor

Department: Med Supplies CS

Schedule: Full-Time, Evening (1500-1130)

Facility: Prime Healthcare – Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital

Location: Chicago, IL 60622

Responsibilities

Responsible for directing the overall service functions of the Central Supply Department. Must be able to move throughout the facility. Must understand written data and be able to write alpha and numeric data accurately. He/she will be responsible for the procurement of supplies, stock and non-stock, compliance while controlling inventory levels and accuracy with the system. Must be able to direct department, including assessing priorities and directing and scheduling staff. Able to communicate with pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle adult to geriatrics.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1.               Certified registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required.

2.               Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a Central Sterile Technician in an acute care hospital setting.

3.               Associates Degree in related healthcare field preferred.

4.               Knowledge of decontaminations and sterilization techniques and procedures.

5.               Supervisory experience preferred.

6.               Knowledge of ability to use internet, Microsoft Word and Excel computer systems.

7.               Knowledge and experience in sterile processing principles, infection prevention procedures, JCAHO regulations AAMI and AORN compliance programs.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $20.81 to $30.14. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
