We are seeking a Definitive Observation Unit Registered Nurse (DOU RN), also referred to as an Observation Unit Nurse, Acute Observation Registered Nurse or DOU RN. The DOU RN provides specialized nursing care to patients who require short-term observation, typically ranging from several hours up to 24-48 hours. Their role focuses on closely monitoring patients with acute but stable conditions to determine if they need full hospital admission or can be safely discharged. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Current and valid state RN License.
2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
4. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
5. Ventilator Management experience preferred.
6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
