Overview

We are seeking a Hospital Dishwasher, sometimes referred to as a Dish Room Attendant or Hospital Sanitation Worker The Hospital Dishwasher ensures all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. They support food service operations by organizing clean items, assisting with meal preparation, and following strict hospital sanitation and infection control standards. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed. 

 

Shifts Available: Variable 

Employment Type: Per Diem (PD/PRN) 

Hours: Variable 

Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center  Mesquite, TX

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): 

  • Operate commercial dishwashing machines and hand-washes large pots, pans, and utensils 
  • Clean and sanitize counters, tables, and equipment while maintaining hygienic work areas 
  • Sort and store clean dishes, trays, and utensils in proper locations for upcoming meal services 
  • Assist food service staff with assembling meal trays, setting up cafeteria lines, and transporting carts 
  • Dispose of food waste, recyclables, and trash according to hospital safety and sanitation rules 

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:  

 

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred.

 

County Specific requirement.

1. County Specific Food Handlers certification required upon hire and maintained current.
