The Regional Director of Patient Access provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for patient access, registration, insurance verification, authorization, and denial prevention functions across multiple hospitals. The role ensures regulatory compliance, optimal reimbursement, and a consistent, high-quality patient and provider experience. The Director develops teams, manages performance, drives process improvement, and partners closely with clinical, revenue cycle, and managed care stakeholders.The Regional Patient Access Director will assist with the implementation of patient access projects with the objective of meeting business objectives by implementing processes, protocols, policies, solutions, and systems in patient access departments across the region.

Required qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration, Business or related area or equivalent experience.
2. At least 5 years’ experience in progressive leadership positions in Patient Access or Business Office.
Preferred qualifications:
1. Previous Project Manager experience
2. PMP or Revenue Cycle Certification
3. Strong analytical and mathematical skills to interpret reimbursement methodologies.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including effective presentation and negotiation skills.
5. Proven ability to lead, influence, and develop teams.
6. Proficient in denial management, payer rules, and collection laws and regulations.
