Ontario, CA | Exempt | Salary Range: $70,000 – $99,000

 

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) at Prime Healthcare Corporate Offices in the Inland Empire is a strategic, hands-on HR leader who partners with executives and senior leaders to deliver effective, compliant, and people-centered solutions across a complex healthcare system. This role blends operational HR execution with strong critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and executive-level communication, serving as a trusted adviser to C-suite and corporate leadership.

 

This position is ideal for an HR professional with a resolution-driven mindset, extensive employee/labor relations (ELR) experience, and the ability to proactively identify risk, analyze trends, and implement practical solutions. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic HR Business Partner to corporate executives and senior leaders, providing guidance on employee/labor relations, grievance resolution, and performance management
  • Lead complex employee relations investigations, manage disciplinary actions, and ensure compliance with California and federal employment laws
  • Advise on union and non-union labor relations, organizational change, and workforce risk mitigation
  • Apply critical thinking and emotional intelligence to resolve sensitive situations and influence executive decision-making
  • Support job evaluation, classification, compensation, and workforce planning initiatives
  • Partner on talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee development initiatives aligned with corporate priorities
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to proactively identify employee relations risks and opportunities
  • Manage multiple priorities with accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail
  • Travel locally and regionally as required 

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

Required qualifications:

 

1.   Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or closely related field.

2.   4 year’s recent health care experience in a Human Resources Department.

4.   Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of material with attention to detail.

5.   Computer knowledge that includes Excel, Word, Outlook

6.   Ability to travel required.

 

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

1.   PHR, SPHR or relevant human resources certifications or advanced degree preferred.

Prime Healthcare offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options.  Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary.  A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $70,304.00 to $99,590.40 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
