We are seeking a Hospital Dishwasher, sometimes referred to as a Dish Room Attendant or Hospital Sanitation Worker.  The Hospital Dishwasher ensures all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. They support food service operations by organizing clean items, assisting with meal preparation, and following strict hospital sanitation and infection control standards. 

Shift’s Available: Variable

Employment Type: Per Diem (PD / PRN) 

Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center – Gadsden, AL

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): 

• Operate commercial dishwashing machines and hand-washes large pots, pans, and utensils 

• Clean and sanitize counters, tables, and equipment while maintaining hygienic work areas 
• Sweeps floor and empties trash in accordance with approved sanitation and safety guidelines/procedures

• Sort and store clean dishes, trays, and utensils in proper locations for upcoming meal services 

• Assist food service staff with assembling meal trays, setting up cafeteria lines, and transporting carts 

• Dispose of food waste, recyclables, and trash according to hospital safety and sanitation rules 

Education and Work Experience

• County Specific requirement: County Specific Food Handlers certification required upon hire and maintained current

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
