Overview

We are seeking aTrauma Coordintor RN, who is responsible for organizing, coordinating and implementing the Trauma Program. Is an active participant in performance improvement data collection, activities, and functions to promote an integrated program in Trauma, which ensures the provision of the highest quality of healthcare in our trauma patients.

 

Shift’s Available:  Days

Employment Type: Full Time 

Hours: 8hr shifts 

Location: Dallas Medical Center – Farmers Branch, TX

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): 

  • Collaborates with personnel involved with the Trauma Program.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of trauma initiatives, trauma policies and procedures, including staff education activities.
  • Evaluates Trauma Program through the use of data capture, follow-up and trend analysis and presents findings to appropriate committees.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on identified performance improvement issues (PDCA), implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures for the Trauma Program.

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 

  • Current Texas RN License.
  • ACLS certified current.

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Five years clinical experience in a hospital care setting with a minimum of two years of emergency room experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable on current State of Texas Trauma Rules and Regulations preferred.
  • PALS/ENPC, TNCC/ATCN, and SAMA certified preferred or recommended within one year of hire.
