Overview

The Community Education & Patient Experience Coordinator supports the hospital’s mission to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care by coordinating patient education initiatives, patient experience activities, and community health education programs directly related to hospital services.

 

Employment Type: Full Time

Shifts Available: Days

Hours: 8-hour 

Location: Pampa Regional Medical Center - Pampa, TX

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • This role functions as a patient care support and administrative position that enhances access to care, improves patient understanding of services, supports quality improvement efforts, and assists patients and families in navigating hospital‑related care processes.
  • The Community Education & Patient Experience Coordinator is responsible for the deployment of a comprehensive patient experience improvement plan across the continuum of care for Pampa Regional Medical Hospital.
  • This position serves as the content and systems expert for the community hospital they serve to accelerate improvement across all patient experience metrics and ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and Medicare Conditions of Participation

Qualifications

 

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or other healthcare related field preferred.
  • State RN or LVN licensure or Certification in a healthcare field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare, patient services, community education, quality support, or related administrative role
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff
  • Demonstrated experience implementing cultural change across a complex professional environment required
  • Certification and experience applying six sigma, lean or Value Stream Improvement methodology preferred.
  • Measurable outcomes generated through programs deployed around service recovery, patient family advisory councils, or enhancing cultural competency preferred.
  • Experience in a rural hospital or Critical Access Hospital environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with patient experience metrics and quality improvement processes preferred.
