Position Overview

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a General Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join a growing cardiovascular team in Lewiston.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and cardiovascular assessments
  • Manage inpatient cardiology consults and outpatient follow-up visits
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising cardiologists
  • Order, interpret, and review diagnostic testing including ECGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, and ambulatory monitors
  • Educate patients on cardiovascular conditions, medications, and preventive care strategies
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, APPs, and ancillary departments
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in shared call coverage as needed

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Current NP or PA certification
  • Eligible for Maine licensure
  • Cardiology or internal medicine experience preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
