Overview

Employment Type: Part-time

Shifts Available: Day Shift

Hours: 8-hour shift

Location: St. Mary's Medical Center- Blue Springs, MO  

 

Join our outpatient rehabilitation team as an Occupational Therapist (OT) and make a meaningful impact helping patients regain independence in their daily lives. In this role, you will work one-on-one with patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions, focusing on improving functional abilities, fine motor skills, and activities of daily living (ADLs).

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):

  • Deliver outpatient occupational therapy treatments focused on ADLs, fine motor skills, and upper extremity function
  • Provide therapeutic activities, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training
  • Educate patients on adaptive techniques and home exercise programs (HEP)
  • Document care and monitor progress in EMR (Epic)
  • Support orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical rehabilitation
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare, CMS, and clinical guidelines

 

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:  

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus: 

  • National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA, and OTAC
