Responsibilities

Under the minimal direction the Director Integrations Epic will be responsible for leading and managing the integration of the Epic EHR system and various other downstream IT systems, ensuring seamless interoperability and data flow. This role requires deep knowledge of healthcare IT, system interfaces, and project management. This position will collaborate with clinical, technical, and administrative teams to develop and implement integration strategies that enhance system efficiency and performance. This position will lead the integration team, providing guidance and mentorship to support their development and ensure successful project outcomes. This position requires the ability to independently identify and fulfill responsibilities with minimal oversight, especially on critical matters. The role frequently involves exercising discretion and independent judgment, evaluating different options, and making informed decisions. The position is expected to effectively prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and ensure deadlines are consistently met.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT, with at least 3+ years managing Epic EHR integration projects
  • Extensive experience with Epic systems, HL7, and FHIR. Certification in Epic Bridges.
  • Strong expertise in Epic EHR including experience with Epic Bridges, HL7, FHIR, and APIs.
  • Demonstrated success in leading integration projects in a healthcare environment, with knowledge of health information exchanges (HIEs) and interoperability protocols.
  • Proven leadership skills, including team management, mentoring, and project oversight.
  • In-depth understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and HITECH compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience with integration engines like Ensemble, Iguana and Cloverleaf.
  • Understands hospital business operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of IT applications in the practicing healthcare environment.
  • Open to travelling up to 50% of the time.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with other EHR platforms such as Meditech or Cerner.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience working in large-scale healthcare systems or hospital settings.

Pay Transparency

Prime Healthcare offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options.  Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary.  A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $116,334.40 to $187,969.60 on an annualized basis. The compensation estimate noted above is specific to California and has not been adjusted for any other geographic location. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
