Overview

Shifts Available: Day Shift 

Employment Type: Full- Time

Hours: 8-hour shift (7:30-6:00 Monday through Thursday and Fridays 7:30-3:00)

Location: Providence Medical Center- Kansas City, KS

 

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient rehabilitation team in a Full-time capacity. This role offers a patient-centered, 1:1 care model in an outpatient physical therapy clinic treating a diverse caseload including orthopedic (ortho), neurological (neuro), pelvic floor, vestibular (dizziness and balance), dry needling, and aquatic therapy patients.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
  • Implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, function, and outcomes
  • Deliver 1:1 outpatient therapy treatment focused on patient goals
  • Educate patients on therapeutic exercises, injury prevention, and recovery plans
  • Document treatments and patient progress in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary teams

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 

  • An Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current state Physical Therapist Assistant license
  • Current BCLS (AHA) Certificate upon hire and maintain current

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

  • Healthcare experience preferred
