Position Overview

Prime Healthcare and Central Maine Medical Center are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join a growing cardiovascular program in Lewiston. This opportunity offers the ability to practice within a collaborative, physician-focused environment while serving a broad regional patient population across central Maine.

 

The incoming physician will join an established cardiology team with access to advanced cardiac services, experienced clinical support staff, and a strong referral network. Candidates with a patient-centered approach and strong interventional skills are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including coronary angiography, PCI, and coronary stenting
  • Provide inpatient consultative services and outpatient cardiovascular care
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, hospitalists, APPs, intensivists, and ancillary staff
  • Participate in shared call coverage schedule
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance with quality standards
  • Support evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Completion of accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Maine
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
  • New graduates and experienced physicians welcome to apply

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $XX.XX to $XX.XX. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
