Radiology Technologist - Full Time Nights

Department: Radiology
Schedule: Full-Time, Nights

 

The Radiology Technologist I performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. This role is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards, processing and transmitting images through PACS, and serving as a key point of contact for patients throughout the imaging experience. The Radiology Technologist plays an important role in delivering exceptional patient care, maintaining imaging quality, and supporting efficient department operations.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper identification throughout imaging procedures.
  • Process, review, and transmit images to PACS for interpretation and storage.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Participate in quality assurance (QA), performance improvement (PI), and quality control (QC) activities.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within electronic systems.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support timely patient care.
  • Provide excellent customer service and serve as the primary point of contact for patients during imaging visits.

Qualifications

Required

  • Current state Radiologic Technologist license and fluoroscopy permit, as required by state regulations.
  • ARRT (R) certification.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to diagnostic imaging.
  • Proficiency with PACS, radiology information systems, and computer applications.
  • Strong communication, patient care, and customer service skills.

Preferred

  • One or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Previous hospital, acute care, or diagnostic imaging experience.
