Responsibilities

Reports to Director of Shared Services and provide analytic support for a wide variety of data domains and business data needs. Business Analyst II leads multiple concurrent projects, as well as provides data strategic initiatives and decisions using statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data mining. Support daily operations, while analyzing complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers; and improve existing processes, services, or products and aid in machine learning and building AI models. Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. Collaborate with clients to modify or tailor existing analysis or reports to meet their specific needs. Participate in management reviews, including presenting and interpreting analysis results, summarizing conclusions, and recommending a course of action.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  1. Master’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, Analytics, or related field required; minimum 2 years of professional experience required, including at least 1 year in a healthcare setting.
  2. Advanced experience analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on datasets using Excel, SQL, BI tools (Power BI/Qlik), and Python; strong familiarity with relational databases/DBMS.
  3. Experience planning and executing projects, including designing, configuring, and implementing internal tools and solutions (e.g., reporting dashboards, ETL workflows, automation-enabled processes, templates, forms, and internal business enablement tools) to support strategic initiatives.
  4. Experience supporting vendor/contract analytics in a procurement, supply chain, or shared services environment, including spend analysis and cost-reduction reporting required.
  5. Experience producing contract and vendor performance analyses (e.g., price variance, utilization/volume trends, forecasting, SLA performance, savings validation, and/or total cost of ownership (TCO)) preferred.
  6. Hands-on experience in process improvement initiatives, including requirements gathering, workflow/process mapping, data collection, and implementing measurable improvements.
  7. Minimum 1 year’s experience supporting cross-functional project teams (e.g., biomed, engineering, supply chain, and clinical/hospital stakeholders).
  8. Minimum 1 year experience applying statistical methods to business/operational problems, including creating curated datasets suitable for analytics and/or AI/ML model consumption.
  9. Required: Hands-on experience extracting, validating, and improving data integrity/workflows across ALL THREE systems: Infor/Lawson (ERP), Epic (EHR/EMR), and Nuvolo (CMMS), to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
  10. Minimum 1 year experience supporting procure-to-pay (P2P) initiatives, including process automation/streamlining, workflow definition, controls/auditing, and documentation.
  11. Strong written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking, and analytical problem-solving; strong time management and prioritization skills to manage multiple concurrent deliverables.

Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options.  Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary.  A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $71,760.00 to $96,408.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
