As our new Minor Procedures RN at Saint John Hospital, you will provide comprehensive care to our patients in the OR. You will have the excitement of working in an operating room scrubbing in on procedures and following a patient from peri to post-op. RN’s in this role will be directly responsible for coordinating patient care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, direct and guide the OR Technician and other personnel while maintaining a high standard of professional nursing. You will work with other departments to provide continuity of care post-operatively. If you are patient-centered with a willingness to uphold patient safety and patient satisfaction, then we are serious about helping you enhance your skillset! Saint John Hospital is looking for an RN with a knack for compassion, specialized knowledge on how the operating room functions. To be successful, you will have to communicate with our physicians about changes in the patient’s clinical condition, adhere to regulations and standards, and participate in Performance Improvement activities.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Current and valid state RN License.
2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
4. Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
5. Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training
6. Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
7. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
