Director of Operations provides financial and operational oversight to employed physician practices across the PA Market. Our medical groups consist of approx. 30 employed and contracted physicians and mid-level providers in multiple specialties (Primary care, hospital-based, and specialists), and are located across the three Hospitals in greater Philadelphia market.


 This role assumes day to day accountability for all facets of practice operations, with a strong emphasis on managing patient access and throughput, provider productivity, clinic staffing, and medical group support services.  Ideal candidate will have experience with managing the revenue as well as expense side of a multi-specialty clinic, with a proven track record. Experience with value-based payment models such as Chronic care, Transitional care and Remote Patient Monitoring is highly desirable. Facilitates an atmosphere of collaboration with staff, providers, hospital leadership, and corporate leadership. Will be visible, accessible and committed to communicating effectively with providers, hospital leadership, and staff.  Financial responsibilities include ownership and management of practices P&L with an emphasis on reducing operating losses, and revenue cycle for practices.


  • BS in Business Administration, Finance or Health Care Administration required.
  • Master’s in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • Seven or more years of leadership experience, preferably within a large clinical organization with employed physicians in multiple specialties and locations.
  • Ideal candidate will have several years of experience in managing day-to-day operations of a physician practices. In-depth understanding of improving patient access, staff recruitment and management, clinic workflows, provider productivity, and professional billing and collections will be critical to succeeding in the role.
  • Strong business and financial background with a sense of urgency and a desire to achieve top line results.
  • Excellent leadership skills including ability to think strategically, develop vision and execute for results.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance healthcare requirements.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions by analyzing financial, operational and quality metrics as well as develop practical solutions to improve results.
  • Job requires travel to various clinic sites in the Greater Philadelphia Market.
