We are currently looking for a Patient Account Registrar who will interviews patients or his/her representative to obtain patient demographics. It is preferred that this individual in proficient in medical terminology and can communicate to a wide audience base. Having previous Hospital experience as an admission representative is a plus. This position is responsible for securing insurance information, eligibility, benefits, and authorization as applicable. Will work closely with all facets of the admitting department including PBX operator and reception areas. This individual will be given special projects or other assignments from time to time that will require them to be completed within a certain timeframe. Education and Work Experience
1. Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred.
2. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
3. Effective written and verbal communication skills
4. Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines
5. Analytical and problem-solving skills
6. Customer Services experience required
7. High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires)
