The File Clerk is responsible for the handling of incoming and outgoing mail pertaining to the hospital. Must be able to operate computer to enter and retrieve data. Needs to have ability to recognize and correct mailing errors immediately. Always uses proper tact and discretion in handling inquiries. File clerks keep files and documents organized for companies. File clerks work with both paper documents and electronic files, and do routine tasks like data entry, organization, cross-referencing, scanning, copying, faxing and retrieval.
