Responsibilities

 We are currently looking for a Patient Account Registrar who will interview patients or their representatives to obtain patient demographic and insurance information.  Proficiency in medical terminology and ability to communicate to a wide audience base are preferred, and previous Hospital experience as an admission representative is a plus. This position is also responsible for securing insurance and copay information, eligibility, benefits, and authorization as applicable. Our Patient Account Registrars work closely with all facets of the admitting department including PBX operators and reception area staff in order to provide excellent and compassionate customer service and patient care

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  1. Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred.
  2. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  3. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
  5. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Customer Services experience required.
  7. High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires)
