Responsibilities

Leads and directs the technical personnel, activities and equipment of Cardiology and Cardiopulmonary Rehab services.  Organizes and supervises all aspects of daily operations in an environment in which department members can perform in an efficient and accurate manner. Establishes communications between physicians and staff to ensure proper patient health care. Keeps department abreast of technological changes and developments to assure the appropriate level of proficiency required. Provides care to patients ranging from neonatal through geriatric. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies as well as hospital policy and procedure.  Responsible for the facilitating and coordinating the key elements of the chest pain center accreditation/stroke certification process, including development and review of protocols, initial and ongoing training, performance improvement and community outreach. This will be achieved by collaborating with the Emergency Department, ED Manager, the Chest Pain Committee, Stoke Committee, EMS, hospital department directors and staff.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1.    Current and valid state RN License

2.    Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

3.    Current ACLS (AHA) certificate within 7 days of hire and maintain current

4.    Experience in assisting physician with Stress Testing preferred

5.    5 years’ experience preferred

6.    Excellent Computer skills

7.    Excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills essential

8.    Team approach to patient care

9.    Working knowledge of computers and computer applications

10.  Day and evening flexibility required
