Our Licensed Practical Nurse perform basic duties that include treating and educating patients about mental and medical conditions, and, provide advice and emotional support to patients and/or family members. They are also involved in running therapeutic groups, psychiatric crisis intervention, seclusion and restraint of patients.
As you would suspect, they record patient’s medical histories and symptoms, help to perform diagnostic tests, analyze results, and, help with patient follow-up and rehabilitation. They enjoy teaching patients and their families how to manage their illness and/or injury.

Education and Work Experience
1. Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. IV certification upon hire required.
4. Minimum one year experience in an applicable setting preferred.
5. Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
