Overview

 

ACCESS ADMINISTRATION

Request user access to Epic, review training schedules; provide input for employees completing Epic training. Work with HR to confirm class training schedules for new hires. 

 

PHYSIAN TRAINING

Provide physician training in the following applications:

Epic 

Dragon DMO

Neurology Workbench/Nihon Kohden/SOC Telemed

Other Physician specific software as required

 

EPIC

Assist in troubleshooting issues with Epic modules;

Work with users to submit change requests for needed changes per work flows;

Act as local POC for all implementation, upgrades, SUP’s, training documentation, etc. as required;

 

CLINICAL LIAISON

Act as liaison between customer and technical IT and/or IT application and technical IT. Clearly communicate issues or requests and understand what is needed to resolve issues. 

 

CLINICAL

INTEGRATION

Analyze and troubleshoot hardware/software integrated with clinical applications; understand application configurations for optimal use and peak performance.

 

INSTRUCTION

Expected to oversee Epic training program for NVNV. Ability to lead one on one instruction with nursing, physicians and clinicians as required; may be expected to speak to small groups regarding applications. May assist in actual training by proctoring Computer Based Training (CBT).

PROJECTS

Participate in various projects as required.

 

PROFICIENCY

Must complete Epic Proficiency Exam for assigned module (ClinDoc, etc.), within 6 months of hire date. This position will be expected to continue education through CBT instruction to gain proficiencies with various Epic modules;

 

Nursing Degree preferred.

 

Responsibilities

Manages MEDITECH/enterprise system applications in the areas of ongoing user support/training, dictionary, maintenance, system enhancements, problem analysis, resolution and troubleshooting.  Works with vendors and other IT staff to coordinate hardware installation, maintain and oversee changes, corrections, enhancement to the Clinical Systems.  Acts as a liaison for Departments for Clinical System issues.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

1. High School Diploma required for all new hires starting 4/1/14

2. Bachelors Degree in Clinical Healthcare field, Business Discipline, Healthcare Management, Health Information management or Information Science or equivalent experience preferred.

3. 2 years work experience in a hospital setting required

4. Clinical experience preferred.

5. Interpersonal skills necessary to deal with and establish working relationships with physicians, hospital personnel and co-workers.

6. RN License Preferred
