Overview

The Program Manager is responsible for the leadership and oversight of program, development and implementation of the program operations and services, supervision of the staff, quality control and evaluation of the program. Develops and administers comprehensive partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program that responds to the community’s needs and support the organization’s overall mission, philosophy, and goals to integrate the management of partial and outpatient programs into the Behavioral Health Services’ continuum of care; provides leadership, direction and clinical supervision in accordance with the organizational and departmental goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Accomplishes assigned duties accurately, completely, efficiently and within specified timeframe according to established policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates ability to consider how actions impact department workflow and productivity.
  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to the Program’s budget, including maintaining and reporting productivity report variances, and keeping track of program expenses.
  • Work closely with administration and clinical Medical Director to assist in program development and/or program issues.
  • Plans, monitors, and evaluates the clinical direction of all aspects of the programs including: the therapeutic atmosphere of the groups; documentation in the medical record; meeting the needs of the individual patients, etc.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and system to assure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards.
  • Utilizes advanced leadership skills to facilitate collaborative group dynamics, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Work closely with HR to maintain accurate employee files and to ensure completion of staff competencies.
  • Responsible for coordinating services of the department that include staffing, operational policies and procedures, systems and programs, standards, and compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Assist in preparing Program for Joint Commission Survey or any other surveys, as appropriate.
  • Responsible for completing annual staff evaluations.
  • Responsible for ensuring and maintaining the quality and clinical integrity of the Program.
  • Responsible for Program Staff supervision.
  • Coordinate and arrange inservices and resources to ensure staff growth and development.

Qualifications

1. Must have a current and valid license as a LCSW, LMFT, or the equivalent, issued by the State.
2. Minimum of two (2) years management experience with Behavioral Health Care programs preferred
3. Must have BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
4. Behavioral Violence Prevention within 6 months of hire and maintain current annually.
5. Must have working knowledge of mental health laws and practice standards.
6. Must have knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health treatment.
7. Must have excellent verbal, written, and management skills.
