Provides safe and timely transport of patients to and from patient care units and hospital departments, this includes admits and discharges and transport of deceased patients to the morgue. Picks up specimens from the Out Patient Lab and the hospital nursing units and delivers them to the In-patient Lab. Locates, monitors and maintains transport equipment in designated areas within the hospital. Supports the Volunteers after regular hours as needed, by transporting equipment to/from Central Supply, medical records, x-rays, and lab reports. Provides for patient advocacy and safety through effective/collegial communication with other staff.
