The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) is a highly specialized and trained nurse who provides care in illnesses and disorders related to the entire GI tract.  They provide vital assistance during patients’ endoscopic procedures.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Preparing instruments prior to endoscopies
• Sedating patients prior to their procedure and relaying aftercare instructions post-procedure
• Assisting physicians throughout procedures
• Responding quickly and properly in the event of an emergency
• Monitoring patients’ vital signs throughout their procedure

Saint Joseph Medical Center is looking for experienced Nurses for our Endoscopy or Gastroenterology (GI Lab) role.    

Days Shift – 8hr – 40hr Weeks

Education and Work Experience

1. Current and valid state RN License.
2. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. ACLS 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
4. Minimum of one year experience in an acute care or outpatient'surgery setting or G.I. lab.
5. Completed Moderate Sedation competency within 30 days upon hire required.
