The Medical Assistant will be part of the team in our Family Medicine Group and will be hands-on assisting physicians with patient care.  Duties include, but are not limited to:

• clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks
• appointment scheduling and chart management
• provide information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services
• convey a positive image of organization.

Education and Qualifications

• high school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience, required
• Medical Assistant (MA) Certification or higher level certification/licensure
• if no current MA certification or higher-level licensure, must obtain MA certification at the responsibility of the employee within six months of hire
• current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• minimum one year work experience in public contact job
• work experience in health care, preferred
