Responsibilities

SIGN ON BONUS- $20,000.00!

 

The Director of Emergency Services is responsible for the direction and leadership of operational, financial, programmatic and personnel activities for the Emergency Department. This includes establishing, meeting and continuously monitoring the goals and objectives while maintaining alignment with the strategic goals and objectives
for Providence Medical Center. While the range of duties and responsibilities is broad and varied, the position’s major responsibility is directing the day-to-day operations, budgeting, financial management, and human resource management. The Director works closely with a variety of stakeholders, coordinating the activities of the Emergency  Department across the enterprise.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  1. Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
  2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  3. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)-(AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  4. Current PALS upon hire and maintain current.
  5. Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
  6. A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
  7. Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting.
  8. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for all new hires after 1/11/2021.
  9. Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
