Responsibilities

The Operating Room Tech is responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintaining sterile field during case and providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

  1. 1-2 yrs. experience required in scrubbing on open cardiac cases i.e., CABG procedures.   
  2. Additional experience preferred in Vascular, Ortho, General, Podiatry
  3. Current BLS certification.
  4. Scrub with flawless aseptic technique in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong surgical conscience.
  5. Performs scrub technician responsibilities during scheduled, on-call, and emergency procedures.
  6. Demonstrate ability to work within a cohesive team that aims for optimum patient safety
  7. High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014
