East Liverpool City Hospital is an award-winning community hospital proudly serving residents of the tristate region since 1905. With 152 licensed beds and more than 500 employees, the hospital averages 31,000 Emergency Department visits annually. East Liverpool's medical staff is comprised of more than 160 physicians with an additional 21 resident physicians completing their training in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. The hospital provides 24/7 emergency services, general surgery, medical stabilization for substance abuse, behavioral health for adults over the age of 55, and remains the ONLY cardiac rehabilitation program in Columbiana County. Responsibilities

As our new Speech Therapist, you will:

  • be responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning, and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician
  • assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department
  • treatment with pediatric population in outpatient, Head Start and early intervention setting
  • be cross trained for all service lines so as to participate in our cohesive team approach in our hospital outpatient, inpatient and home health settings

 

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university, required
  • at least one year of experience in a hospital setting
  • licensed by the state in Speech-Language Pathology
  • current BLS for healthcare providers certification upon hire and maintain current
