Obtains updated demographic information and all necessary information needed to comply with insurance billing requirements. Forwards updated information to responsible staff members for computer changes. Operates computer to input follow up notes and retrieve collection and patient information.

The Interventional Endoscopy Technician is directly responsible to the GI physician, Endoscopy RN, Surgeon, or the RN/Supervisor of the area that the Endoscopy is being performed (ie, ER, ICU/CCU, OR). The Interventional Endoscopy Technician works as a scrub assistant to the physician during all invasive endoscopy procedures. They perform all GI procedures including, but not limited to Biopsy, Argon Plasma Coagulation (APC), Barrx, Dilation, Specimen acquisition, Labeling and handling, and Peg Tube placement. All at the direction of the GI Physician, Surgeon, or RN. The Interventional Endoscopy Technician is also responsible for insuring safe transportation, handling, disinfection, sterilization and maintenance of the Flexible Endoscopes, and the Automated Reprocessing devices. This is an ongoing process of education and updating current practices following the manufacturer’s suggested guidelines, and recommendations of the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA), JCAHO, and the Centers of Disease Control (CDC). The Human Resources Supervisor administers and coordinates human resources programs such as compensation and benefits, with a primary emphasis on employment and employee relations matters involving employees up through the middle management level; communications and interprets company human resources policies and procedures for managers and employees.

He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. The Monitor Tech is an unlicensed person who performs indirect care in the department setting. Monitors cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors. Meets the communication needs of the department. Transcribes physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR clinical documentation system. Verifies that lab tests and radiology tests have been ordered and done. Prepares and complies records in the ER. Orders supplies for the unit and prepares and completes each patient's chart for necessary forms needed daily. Able to assist nursing staff with indirect patient care duties as long as the activity does not distract from primary responsibility for dysrhythmia monitoring. *Note: May provide direct patient care under the direct supervision of the RN within scope of Certified Nursing Assistant if 1) possesses active CNA certification; 2) demonstrates annual competency in CNA duties and skills and 3) is relieved of Monitor Technician duties during the time of assisting the RN.

The Laboratory Assistant will follow the guidelines set by CLIA, and the CA Business and Professions Codes (bpc: 1212, 1269).  Unlicensed laboratory personnel (“aides”) may not, read, record, result, verify or interpret any laboratory test. Unlicensed laboratory personnel may not perform any test involving the quantitative measurement of specimen or reagent, or perform any mathematical calculation in determining a test result or validity of a test procedure.  Unlicensed laboratory personnel may not perform instrument calibration or review quality control results to monitor the performance of the instrument or test procedure.  Unlicensed personnel require direct and constant supervision by a CLS or other licensed person identified in bpc: 1269, during the entire time they are assisting in the analytical testing phase. Oversees the food safety and nutritional care aspects of the Food and Nutrition Services Department to ensure full compliance with federal, state and other regulatory agencies. Supervisor performs day to day operations under the direction of the department operations director and the medical director of the Radiation Therapy. Daily operations include, scheduling radiation therapists to appropriately levels to safely operate/perform CT planning and radiation treatment of the day’s workload, report issues that can affect operations and patientcare and safety, as well as any concerns and issue brought my patient, staff or physicians. This position also functions as a Radiation Therapist, administering therapeutic radiation, as ordered to facilitate accurate treatment delivery and in accordance with state and federal regulations.  The Radiation Therapy Supervisor works closely with the Radiation Oncologist, Medical Physicist and Dosimetrist in planning courses of radiation therapy by performing radiation dose distribution, position and dosage calculations and constructing treatment devices.  This individual provides clear communication within the department and assists in the maintenance of radiation and repairs of equipment. This position performs training, education, payroll, corrective actions, works to ensure all therapy equipment service issues are addressed timely, communicates effectively with Dosimetrist, Therapists, Nursing, Physicist and Physician. The Pharmacy Supervisor in conjunction with the Director of Pharmacy is responsible for the coordination and control of the Pharmacy Services throughout the hospital. - Responsible for the maintenance of the policies and procedures that assure safe administration, control, storage and use of medications throughout the hospital. - May serve as full-time PIC (Pharmacy Manager) or acting PIC in the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, and is responsible for management of the Pharmacy staff - Financial decisions including inventory control and the budgeting process - Interacts with physicians and other departments concerning quality of care and education - Ensuring that all licensing criteria are met and up to date - Attend administrative meetings related to regulatory affairs - Implement/change operations based on State and Federal regulations and any other functions concerned with patient care and operations of the Pharmacy consistent with policies and procedures of the hospital and State and Federal laws. 

Advanced Imaging use equipment to visualize internal structures, blood flow and obtain measurements. American College of Radiology (ACR) and Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) are the 2 guiding bodies used in Imaging. In the Radiology settings, ACR is followed. In the Cardio-vascular Ultrasound setting, IAC is followed. Cardio-Vascular Sonographer practice following Protocols and Techniques as per scribed by the Cardio-Vascular Medical Director. General Sonographer and Advance Imaging Technologists practice following the protocols and techniques as per scribed by Imaging Medical Director. All Advanced Imaging will practice their skills within the scope of their credentials and with a valid written physicians order always. Skill evaluations will be done by the area supervisor or preceptor assigned. Advanced Imaging, will perform, under the supervision of a physician and complete exams per protocol using diagnostic criteria; completes required information on PACS. Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the Imaging Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department including document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion. Meets all requirements set forth by accreditation (ICAEL, ICAVL and ACR) as appropriate and governing bodies, including JCAHO, federal and state bodies, and department-specific requirements. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
