The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Transcribes physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR clinical documentation system. Verifies that lab tests and radiology tests have been ordered and done. Prepares and compiles records in Med/ Surg/ Telemetry. Orders supplies for the unit and prepares and completes each patient's chart for necessary forms needed on a daily basis. Able to assist nursing staff with indirect patient care duties as long as the activity does not distract from primary responsibility for dysrhythmia monitoring. *Note: May provide direct patient care under the direct supervision of the RN within scope of Certified Nursing Assistant if 1) possesses active CNA certification; 2) demonstrates annual competency in CNA duties and skills and 3) is relieved of Monitor Technician duties during the time of assisting the RN.

Under the direction and authorization of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director, the RCP II is responsible for performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician. Emphasis will be toward the assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient. In the absence of a supervisor, may be assigned/identified as Lead RCP, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift.
Leads and directs the technical personnel, activities and equipment of the Adult Cardiopulmonary services. Promotes healing of acutely ill patients whose cardiac or pulmonary systems have been compromised through illness or injury through the provision of respiratory care, diagnostic testing, providing for the psycho-social needs of the patient, and patient education. Encourages and enhances the progression and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Services Department. Treats patients from newborn, pediatrics, adolescents, young, middle, and older adults. When requested, assists day-to-day operations of the Cardiopulmonary Department, referring out-of-the –ordinary issues to the Manager and/or Medical Director, as appropriate. Provides diagnostic testing to the patient to help optimize the total care given. Performs arterial punctures for blood gas analysis; knowledge in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and quality control of ABG analyzers. Abilities to use mechanical ventilators, bi-level ventilation equipment, peak flow meters, ability to perform respiratory assessment.

The Operating Room Tech is responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintaining sterile field during case and providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.
CRNA will provide counseling and education to the patient about the procedure and options. Perform a thorough and comprehensive physical examination and history. Assess and evaluate patient to determine best course of action. Develop a patient-centered plan for analgesia, anesthesia, multi modal pain management, and recovery. Ensure patient understanding and obtain anesthetic-specific informed consent. Select, prescribe, order, and administer pre-anesthetic medications, including various necessary controlled substances. The use of anesthesia and sedation to achieve the reversible loss of consciousness, amnesia, analgesia and/or muscle relaxation for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with sufficient depth and duration as needed. Implement a patient-specific plan of care, which may involve anesthetic techniques, such as general, regional and local anesthesia, sedation, and multi modal pain management. Select, order, prescribe and administer anesthetic medications, including controlled substances, adjutant drugs, accessory drugs, fluids, and blood products. Assessing airway, vital signs (pulse, blood pressure) with appropriate equipment. Interpretation and management of abnormal diagnostic data. Engage in safe perioperative patient care practices which includes but is not limited to safe use of anesthesia equipment for administration; oxygen therapy; central venous access devices including ultrasound guidance if performed within an approved education program. Facilitate emergence and recovery from anesthesia. Select, order, prescribe and administer post anesthetic medications, including controlled substances. Conduct post anesthesia evaluation. Educate the patient related to recovery, regional analgesia and continued multi modal pain management. Discharge from the postanesthesia care area or facility. Provide comprehensive patient centered pain management to optimize recovery. Provide acute pain services, including multi modal pain management and opioid-sparing techniques. Provide anesthesia and analgesia using regional techniques for obstetric and other acute pain management. Provide advanced pain management, including acute, chronic, and interventional pain management. Order or prescribe medications for pain management or medication assisted treatment, including controlled substances. Provide critical care, emergency, and resuscitation/airway management services. Perform testing for point of care. Order, evaluate, and diagnose based on radiological and laboratory studies. Use and supervise technologies for both diagnostic and care delivery. Provide ongoing pain management and sedation for palliative care. Order treatments, services, and consults related to a patient’s care.
