Full Time, Nights   The Nurse Aid in the DOU Department is an unlicensed assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

The Account Representative is responsible for posting all incoming payments to correct patient accounts on a daily basis.  Inputs and retrieves data from computer systems.  Reconciles accounts daily. Applies payments to patient accounts accurately and efficiently. Distribution of all billing to appropriate personnel.  Reviews and performs follow-up on all authorizations, and specialty referrals. Maintains a current knowledge of contracts and state Worker’s Compensation fee schedules.  Responsible for the handling of incoming and outgoing mail pertaining to the hospital.  Needs to have ability to recognize and correct mailing errors immediately.  Always uses proper tact and discretion in handling inquiries from patients and their families. The Account Representative is responsible for accurate and timely payment analysis of managed care contracts to determine that appropriate reimbursement is received.  Utilizing many complex and varying regulations, guidelines and systems, analyzes payments received from insurance companies to assure maximum and correct reimbursement of Hospital’s receivables.  Proactively works with payers and in-house resources to identify and resolve issues that hinder optimal and correct account payment.  Utilizes and applies the appropriate state and federal regulations in order to assure compliance in payment practices. Applies payments to patient accounts accurately and efficiently. Applies contractual adjustments to patient AR balances as needed. Ability to function in a demanding environment by navigating multiple projects simultaneously, and effectively supporting a busy Medical Staff Office. Responsible for assigned Medical Staff Departments as assigned by Director/Manager. Facilitates all aspects of credentialing, including applications, reappointments, proctoring and competencies. Interfaces with physicians and hospital management staff in a positive and professional manner.

Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) can perform waived, highly and moderately complex testing, as stated in CLIA (42 CFR 493.1489). Must possess a degree of skill commensurate with individual’s education, training or experience and technical abilities Each individual performing the above procedures must: 1) adhere to the laboratory’s procedures for the collection, processing, analysis, and reporting of patient test results, 2) follow the laboratory’s established quality control policies and procedures in documenting all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications, 3) be capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance and either correct the problem or immediately notify your immediate supervisor, Director, or Medical Director, 4) perform waived or highly and moderately complex laboratory procedures using both manual and automated methods in, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology and Immunology, 5) perform and document maintenance – daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed on instruments and equipment as appropriate, 6) review the accuracy of patient results prior to releasing or reporting, 7) recognize age specific differences in expected results for newborns to geriatrics, 8) ensure that the testing of proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient samples and that collaboration with other laboratories is prohibited prior to the reporting of proficiency testing results to the appropriate agencies, 9) may be required to perform venipuncture or capillary puncture on various age groups from newborn to geriatrics, 10) assist in the development and maintenance of laboratory policies and procedures, 11) adheres to all department and hospital policies and procedures related to safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and human resources, 12) in the absence of a supervisor, may be assigned/identified as Lead Tech, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift, 13) other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned by the department manager/director.

The APN/Certified Midwife functions as a liaison for the clinic; interfacing with patient, family, physicians and other ancillary departments while providing oversight for the patient. This includes the initial intake, social service assessment, physical assessment, review of lab and diagnostics, nutritional assessment , education, genetic screening, education, plan of care, financial assistance and all prenatal and follow up visits. The person will facilitate patient navigation through all phases of the pregnancy working with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure excellence in clinical outcomes, quality of care, and patient safety. He/she will cultivate relationships and acts as a liaison between the physician, nursing, ancillary staff, patients and their families to promote customer satisfaction.
