The Staffing and Bed Placement Coordinator is responsible for managing Roxborough Memorial Hospital clinical and administrative staffing and appropriate bed placement for admissions to the hospital. The Infection Control Coordinator is responsible for surveillance, prevention and control of infection. Assists with policy and procedure development and implementation while maintaining CDC, OSHA, AOA HFAP/TJC/CMS/local regulatory and other regulatory agency standards or directives. Acts as a primary education consultant to hospital employees, physicians, patients, volunteers and visitors in safe Infection Control/Prevention practices. Verifies insurance eligibility, and benefits for emergent and urgent admissions, procedures or other services ensuring communication of patient responsibility to the patient or responsible party. Verifies and secures accurate patient demographic and insurance information, updating patient account information as needed. Assists patients in making arrangements as needed for patient responsibility by time of discharge for emergent or urgent services. Screens and refers patients for possible linkage to state, county or other government assistance programs as well as Charity or Discounts as per the facility Charity and Discount policies. CDS Trainee is responsible for conducting clinically based concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient medical records to evaluate the clinical documentation is reflective of quality of care outcomes and reimbursement compliance for acute care services provided. CDS Trainee will work closely with the medical staff to facilitate appropriate clinical documentation of patient care. Other responsibilities include conducting documentation for inpatient admission criteria, initial and extended-stay concurrent reviews on all selected admissions and documenting findings. The Registered Nurse Surgical First Assistant (RNFA) is a professional nurse that requires advanced training in surgical first assisting from a CCI accredited school of higher learning. The Surgical First Assistant shall provide aid in exposure, homeostasis, closure and other intraoperative technical functions that help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient. The House Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who assumes administrative responsibility for the management of all department service functions on his/her shift. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her patients in the Emergency Department. He / She communicates with the physician about the changes in the patient�s clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is capable of responding quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment. Is knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social Worker. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Serves as the on-site coordinator for daily business operations. Interviews the patient or his/her representative to obtain patient demographics. This position also secures insurance information, eligibility, benefits, and authorizations as applicable. Works closely with all facets of the Admitting department including PBX operator function and reception areas. Provides administrative services to the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center providers and staff in order to achieve comprehensive, personal, and efficient patient care by completing a variety of clerical and business related assignments. Assures smooth functioning in the office.

The PACU RN is accountable directly to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all patients within the PACU scope of services. The Registered Nurse also coordinates the post-operative care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directs and guides other personnel while maintaining standards of care in the PACU. He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient�s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Works with other departments and co-workers to provide quality patient care across the continuum, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization. Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures. Responsible for participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services. Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
