The Ambulatory Clinical Documentation Specialist (CDS) is responsible for conducting clinically based concurrent and retrospective reviews of ambulatory medical records. These reviews are to evaluate whether the clinical documentation is reflective of the quality-of-care outcomes and reimbursement compliance for services provided. The Ambulatory CDS works closely with the medical staff to facilitate appropriate clinical documentation of patient care. Will perform other duties as assigned or required.

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is a registered professional nurse who has specialized skills, knowledge, and experience in patient assessments and follow-up and is duly authorized to perform designated acts of medical diagnosis, prescription of medical therapeutics and corrective measures in collaboration with and under the supervision of a licensed physician.
