Transcribes physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR clinical documentation system. Verifies that lab tests and radiology tests have been ordered and done. Prepares and complies records in the ER. Orders supplies for the unit and prepares and completes each patient's chart for necessary forms needed daily. Able to assist nursing staff with indirect patient care duties as long as the activity does not distract from primary responsibility for dysrhythmia monitoring. *Note: May provide direct patient care under the direct supervision of the RN within scope of Certified Nursing Assistant if 1) possesses active CNA certification; 2) demonstrates annual competency in CNA duties and skills and 3) is relieved of Monitor Technician duties during the time of assisting the RN.

Performs exams by lab protocol using lab diagnostic criteria; completes required information on PACS. Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiovascular Ultrasound Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department including document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion. Under the supervision of the pharmacists, performs order entry, clerical duties, inventory control, medication distribution, floor stock delivery, preparation of IV admixture using sterile technique and maintains records of distribution and assists in nursing inspections, participates in performance improvement and data collections activities.  This position provides pharmaceutical care for the following age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.  Performs other tasks as assigned by the pharmacists.

The Bio-Med Tech performs maintenance and repair duties associated with the Equipment Management Program under the direction of BSI management. The Biomed Tech is the front line employee who is most visible to the clinician utilizing the patient care equipment included in the Equipment Maintenance Program. This individual builds and maintains positive relationships with customers. the clinical level, this individual will create the impression carried by the facility clinical staff. Each individual performing the above procedures must: 1) adhere to the laboratories procedures for the collection, processing, analysis, and reporting of patient test results, 2) follow the laboratories established quality control policies and procedures in documenting all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratories established performance specifications, 3) be capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance and either correct the problem or immediately notify your immediate supervisor, Director, or Medical Director, 4) perform a wide variety of laboratory procedures requiring independent judgment using both manual and automated methods in Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, Immunology, and any other discipline as introduced into the laboratory, 5) perform and document maintenance daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed on instruments and equipment as appropriate, 6) review the accuracy of patient results prior to releasing or reporting, 7) recognize age specific differences in expected results for newborns to geriatrics, 8) ensure that the testing of proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient samples and that collaboration with other laboratories is prohibited prior to the reporting of proficiency testing results to the appropriate agencies, 9) may be required to perform venipuncture or capillary puncture on various age groups from newborn to geriatrics, 10) assist in the development and maintenance of laboratory policies and procedures, 11) adheres to all department and hospital policies and procedures related to safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and human resources, 12) in the absence of a supervisor, may be assigned/identified as Lead Tech, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift, 13) may be assigned responsibilities related to LIS and/or POCT. 14) other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned by the department manager/director.

Emergency Department Technician is responsible for the assessment and basic management of medical, trauma and environmental emergencies under the supervision of the staff nurse and / or physician. Assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under the direct supervision of the physician, RN, or technologist by providing direct and indirect patient care activities to patients of all age groups.

Under direct guidance and or supervision of the primary operative surgeon, assists the in the Perioperative care of patients, in surgery, and performs duties as assigned.

Install computer related hardware and software as needed. Support and provide problem determination and resolution on PC software and hardware. Maintain catalog, software and hardware inventory. Document service activities through the ticketing system. Access all areas of the hospital campus in order to perform computer-related installations. Use computer to accomplish data entry and PC troubleshooting. Summon outside resources when needed to complete installations and support end-users. Act as a liaison between end-users and IS as well as coordinate issues between software vendors and IS.  

Performs Diagnostic Radiographic Procedures according to department protocols, HFAP/TJC/local regulatory/CMS, State and Federal Regulations. Functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in PI/QC activities. Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for providing quality imaging.
