The Insurance Verifier/ Financial Counselor is responsible for determining patient liability based on benefits and advises patient of their liability prior to scheduled elective procedures notifies patient(s) of financial responsibility; collection arrangement are made prior to services rendered for all elective care. Verifies insurance eligibility, and benefits for emergent and urgent admissions, procedures or other services ensuring communication of patient responsibility to the patient or responsible party. Verifies and secures accurate patient demographic and insurance information, updating patient account information as needed. Assists patients in making arrangements as needed for patient responsibility by time of discharge for emergent or urgent services. Screens and refers patients for possible linkage to state, county or other government assistance programs as well as Charity or Discounts as per the facility Charity and Discount policies. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. - Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. - The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry. - The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her patients in the Emergency Department.  - They communicate with the physician about the changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology. - Is capable of responding quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment. - Is knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social Worker. - Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Maintains accurate logs on all equipment in hospital and provides for a safe working environment.  Also maintain and repair equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems.  Driving as needed for company business.

- Provides appropriate patient nutritional care. Assesses the nutritional status of patients, formulates a care plan, coordinates its implementation, and evaluates its impact and effectiveness. - Provides nutrition education to patients/families. - Approves supplements as appropriate and assists in the development of a hospital formulary appropriate to the patient population.

Manager of Emergency Department is responsible for the day to day management and coordination of all activities in the Emergency Department.  Supervises and monitors performance of the Emergency Department staff.  Interacts with the physicians, hospital staff, outside agencies, patients and patients families/significant other(s) to provide comprehensive care.

Staff RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and older adults. The Registered Nurse coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directs and guides the OR Technician and other personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Works with other departments to provide a continuum of care and co-workers to provide continuous, quality patient care, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization. Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures. Responsible for participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services. Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for providing quality imaging. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works in support of the Radiologist, providing assistance in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Responsible for processing and transmission of Images to PACS.
