Providence Medical Center is looking for a per diem, variable shift PBX Operators to join our growing and dynamic staff!   The PBX Operator duties include, but are not limited to: - answering the switchboard and pages overhead - greets and directs people to the appropriate departments - monitors the hospital alarms - must be aware of the policy and procedures of all hospital emergency codes - ability to communicate with population served

Providence Medical Center is looking for a per diem, variable shift Patient Account Registrar to join our growing and dynamic staff!   The Patient Account Registrar duties include, but are not limited to: - interview the patient or his/her representative to obtain patient demographics - secure insurance information, eligibility, benefits and authorizations as applicable - work closely with all facets of the Admitting Department, including PBX operator function and reception areas - must be able to operate a computer to input and retrieve data - able to communicate with the population served utilizing age specific techniques from neonatal, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle adult to geriatrics - maintain proficiency in medical terminology - special projects or other assignments may be given with expectations to be completed in a specified timeframe - be available to work any weekend shift - Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday - 10 or 12 hour shifts

- Assesses the needs of walk-in and phone callers and ensures their referral to the service or resource that best addresses those needs. - Coordinates and prioritizes in-patient bed reservations and placement; ensure the seamless admission of the patient to the appropriate level of care. - Is responsible for advising, informing and assisting the physician and the physician’s office before and during hospitalization; informs them of hospital policies and procedures relative to their patient’s stay.
