The PACU RN is accountable directly to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all patients within the PACU scope of services. The Registered Nurse also coordinates the post-operative care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directs and guides other personnel while maintaining standards of care in the PACU. He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient�s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Works with other departments and co-workers to provide quality patient care across the continuum, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization. Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures. Responsible for participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services. Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
The Unit Secretary is directly accountable to the Director of Behavioral Health Services, and indirectly to the Charge Nurse and/or House Supervisor. The Unit Secretary is an unlicensed person who performs indirect care in the department setting. Facilitates the communication needs of the department. Transcribes physician orders from records (in the absence of CPOE and EMR clinical documentation system) with notation and signature by nursing staff. Prepares and compiles records on the Behavioral Health Unit. Orders supplies for the unit, prepares and completes each patient's chart for necessary forms needed on a daily basis. Able to assist nursing staff for duties involving indirect patient care.

The ADA Specialist I handles the complete cycle of the interactive process and accommodation in ADA leave cases, including return to work for these cases for non-occupational and occupational cases. The ADA Specialist serves as the primary contact for employee’s seeking reasonable accommodations through the interactive process. Ensures the interactive process and procedures are effectively executed and managed in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. The ADA Specialist will collaborate with key stakeholders to facilitate the interactive process and determine eligibility.
