Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. CMH also supports Central Maine Medical Group, a primary and specialty care practice organization. Other system services include the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, a regional trauma program, LifeFlight of Maine's southern Maine base, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and other high-quality clinical services.

 

Responsibilities

The Trauma Manager is responsible for coordinating resources and activities necessary to ensure the Trauma Services meets regulatory requirements.  The Trauma Manager coordinates the collection of Trauma data and maintains statistical information for the Trauma Registry.  The Trauma Manager coordinates the tracking of Trauma patients throughout the Trauma system (pre-hospital to rehabilitation).  The Trauma Manager coordinates trauma educational programs for the institution as well as public education and prevention programs in the community.    Teaching and coordination of educational program experience preferred.    Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative relationship with other health care members in the promotion and provision of comprehensive patient care.  Communication/writing skills, considerable emotional/physical/mental stamina and stability.

Qualifications

1.    Current and valid state RN License required.

2.    Current BLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.

3.    Current ACLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current

4.    TNCC required upon hire and maintain current

5.    ENPC and CEN or CCRN preferred.

6.    A minimum of three (3) years experience in an acute care hospital environment.

7.    Excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills essential.

8.    Team approach to patient care.

9.    Working knowledge of computers and computer applications.

10. Day and evening flexibility required.

11. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
