The Unit Supervisor provides operational support to the department and leadership by performing various business functions. These functions are to include, but not limited to medical records, documentation, charges/billing, clinical logs, surgical scheduling, implant records, data reporting, timekeeping and other duties as assigned. Responsible for direct supervision of non-clinical personnel as assigned. The Unit Supervisor will provide direct communication with the Nurse Director and Nurse Manager.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. One to two years’ experience as a supervisor in an acute care facility preferred.
3. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
4. Working knowledge of computer systems, equipment and processes commonly performed within the surgical Business Office area.
5. Effective written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
7. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Customer Services experience required.
