The Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintaining sterile field during case and providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.  

Supervisor performs day to day operations under the direction of the department operations director and the medical director of the Radiation Therapy. Daily operations include, scheduling radiation therapists to appropriately levels to safely operate/perform CT planning and radiation treatment of the day’s workload, report issues that can affect operations and patientcare and safety, as well as any concerns and issue brought my patient, staff or physicians. This position also functions as a Radiation Therapist, administering therapeutic radiation, as ordered to facilitate accurate treatment delivery and in accordance with state and federal regulations.  The Radiation Therapy Supervisor works closely with the Radiation Oncologist, Medical Physicist and Dosimetrist in planning courses of radiation therapy by performing radiation dose distribution, position and dosage calculations and constructing treatment devices.  This individual provides clear communication within the department and assists in the maintenance of radiation and repairs of equipment. This position performs training, education, payroll, corrective actions, works to ensure all therapy equipment service issues are addressed timely, communicates effectively with Dosimetrist, Therapists, Nursing, Physicist and Physician. Financial Counselor determines patient liability based on benefits and advises patient of their liability. Prior to scheduled elective procedures notifies patient of financial responsibility. Manages MEDITECH/enterprise system applications in the areas of ongoing user support/training, dictionary, maintenance, system enhancements, problem analysis, resolution and troubleshooting. Acts as a liaison for Departments for Clinical System issues.

Responsible for the coordination of the various activities of the Case Management Department under the direction of the assigned Case Manager/Social Worker assist with development and implementations of discharge plans. Assists with case management referrals and authorizations. Maintains and coordinates Medicaid state submission forms for presentation to on-site reviewer and files them accordingly or as per facility’s procedure. Assists with Discharge Planning as assigned by interviewing patients/families and gathering data to develop a safe patient-focused Discharge Plan.
