Riverview Regional Medical Center is looking for an exceptional per diem, variable shiftStudent Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Care team.  Our Respiratory Therapists work under the direction and authorization of the Medical Director and Cardiopulmonary Director/Manager.  The Student RT duties include, but are not limited to: - responsible for performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician - emphasis will be toward the assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient - the Student Respiratory Therapist works under the direction of a registered or certified therapist - the competencies listed in sections I, II, and III will be learned as the students’ knowledge and skill level increases

Conducts a therapeutic recreation program within the hospital to facilitate rehabilitation of the physically and mentally disabled. The Activity Therapist directs patient participation in selected activities such as games, social activities, sports or music to create an atmosphere of sociability, to provide a means of creative expression and to facilitate the learning skills for recreating during hospitalization and after discharge in the community. Creates an environment that allows the patient to explore his/her own potential, cultivate positive morale and minimize distress of illness.

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Performs Diagnostic Radiographic Procedures according to department protocols, HFAP/TJC/local regulatory/CMS, State and Federal Regulations. Functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in PI/QC activities. Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.

Assist in the delivery of out-patient wound care in a clinical setting. Change wound dressings; prepare wound treatment rooms. Accurately measure and record wound size in patient record. Apply wound dressings as prescribed by the physician and assist with front office duties.
