The Manager of Med/Surg - Telemetry is a Registered Nurse who assumes 24-hour administrative responsibility for the management of all nursing service functions within the Med/Surg - Telemetry departments. Supervises, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care. Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current regulations. Supervises and evaluates all personnel assigned to the unit and effectively utilizes nursing personnel, time responsibilities for the unit and is directly accountable to the CNO/DON. The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is a registered professional nurse who has specialized skills, knowledge, and experience in patient assessments and follow-up and is duly authorized to perform designated acts of medical diagnosis, prescription of medical therapeutics and corrective measures in collaboration with and under the supervision of a licensed physician.

• Provide comprehensive GI care alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicians and support staff. • Conduct initial assessments, follow-ups, and manage inpatient consults and outpatient follow-up visits. • Assist with procedures and ensure continuity of care. • Collaborate closely with attending gastroenterologists to optimize patient outcomes. • Participate in care coordination, documentation, and patient education.

The physician will take admissions from the ED, consults from specialists and transfers from other local Prime hospitals.   We are a Comprehensive Stroke Center and the system hospital for high risk PCI as well as Cardiothoracic surgery. You will work a 7 on 7 off schedule, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM. You respond to RRT and Code blue  There is an in house anesthesiologist  for  intubations and the eicu physician is accessible.
