8 HR, DAY SHIFT
Financial Counselor determines patient liability based on benefits and advises patient of their liability. Prior to scheduled elective procedures notifies patient of financial responsibility. Make arrangements for payment from patient or guarantor by time of discharge. Assists patient with financial arrangements, and refers qualified patients to government assist programs. The incumbent also serves as financial counseling liaison for the department. Maintains effective communication skills, including verbal, written and telephone. Proficient in mathematical skills. Ability to communicate with school age, adolescent, young adult, middle adult and older adults.
8 HR, VARIED SHIFT
Performs a variety of patient and non-patient food service duties such as preparing and delivering patient trays, servicing the cafeteria, working on tray line, stocking storage areas, preparing nourishments, dishwashing and pot washing, mopping and sweeping of floors and emptying of trash as well as other related tasks.

Advanced Imaging Techs use equipment to visualize internal structures, blood flow and obtain measurements. American College of Radiology (ACR) and Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) are the 2 guiding bodies used in Imaging. In the Radiology settings, ACR is followed. In the Cardio-vascular Ultrasound setting, IAC is followed. Cardio-Vascular Sonographer practice following Protocols and Techniques as per scribed by the Cardio-Vascular Medical Director. Advanced Imaging Techs practice following the protocols and techniques as per scribed by Imaging Medical Director. All Advanced Imaging Techs, will practice their skills within the scope of their credentials and with a valid written physician’s order always. Skill evaluations will be done by the area supervisor or preceptor assigned. Advanced Imaging Techs will perform, under the supervision of a physician and complete exams per protocol using diagnostic criteria; completes required information on PACS; promote the smooth and efficient operation of the Imaging Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department including document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion. Advanced Imaging Techs meet all requirements set forth by accreditation (ICAEL, ICAVL and ACR) as appropriate and governing bodies, including JCAHO, federal and state bodies, and department-specific requirements. Advanced Imaging Techs perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
MEDICAL GROUP PATIENT ACCOUNTING

The Biller is responsible for the follow-up performed on accounts to ensure payment with delay is received from insurance, patients or other payers. Communicates clearly and efficiently by phone and in person with the patient, insurance and staff members. Maintains productivity standards and reports billing issues appropriately. Obtains updated demographic information and all necessary information needed to comply with insurance billing requirements. Forwards updated information to responsible staff members for computer changes. Operates computer to input follow up notes and retrieve collection and patient information.
The Lab Assistant will follow the guidelines set by CLIA, and the Business and Professions Codes (bpc: 1212, 1269). The Lab Assistant: 1) performs computer entry, filing, telephone communication and other clerical duties, 2) demonstrates good telephone etiquette and be able to greet patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner, 3) possesses good communication skills, 4) demonstrates adequate knowledge of the terminology of tests ordered in the laboratory, 5) demonstrates a good working knowledge of phlebotomy and the equipment used in collecting specimens from newborns to geriatric patients, 6) processes microbiology, immunology, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, and blood bank specimens, 7) processes specimens for reference laboratory, 8) stocks and orders routine supplies, 9) keeps storage areas, trays, centrifuges, and collection areas clean, 10) processes or places specimens on laboratory instruments in accordance with established policy and procedures, 11) with proper documented training the laboratory assistant may perform, instrument preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, assist in quality control procedures, perform, primary culture inoculations, stain slide preparations, and subculture from liquid media. 12) Perform arterial, venipuncture and capillary draws 13) Perform point of care testing if POCA licensed 14) Train new employees and students 15) follow all SOP’s 16) Other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned by the department manager/director.
LABOR & DELIVERY
12 HR, VARIED SHIFT
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice without assistance. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors. Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to mothers and neonates.
STAFF RN - MEDICAL UNIT
The Staff RN provides direct care in the medical – surgical setting. Communicates with physicians /Nurse Director / Co – workers, as appropriate about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment
NEONATAL ICU MANAGER
The Manager of ICU is a Registered Nurse who assumes 24 hour administrative responsibility for the management of all critical care nursing service functions. Supervises, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care. Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current regulations. Supervises and evaluates all personnel assigned to the unit and effectively utilizes nursing personnel, time responsibilities for the unit and is directly accountable to the CNO/DON. Communicates effectively with staff, physicians and administration both written and verbally. Consults with staff, physicians and Nurse Executive on nursing issues and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.
