The Behavioral Health Charge Nurse is responsible and accountable to the Department Director for the quality of nursing staff and the delivery of patient care during his/her shift and assists the Director in the daily operation of the respective unit(s)/department. In collaboration with the Clinic Manager, the Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the coordination, integration, and implementation of the Medical group wide employee and patient services activities to ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal regulatory and JC accreditation standards. Activities include but are not limited to patient and community outreach, coordinating patient appointments and services. Providing support to peers, coworkers and physicians.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors. Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to newborns and mothers during the antepartum and postpartum periods.
JOB SUMMARY:
Acts as a liaison between Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center and Associated Laundry Management. Oversees the activities of the linen room with regards to acquisition, stocking, distribution, repair and cleaning of all necessary clothing and linen. Oversees the activities of the linen porters.
Maintains accurate logs on all equipment in hospital and provides for a safe working environment. Also maintain and repair equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems.
The Environmental Service Technician is responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling from one facility to another without assistance. Respond to and initiate communication by phone, handheld radios, pagers etc.
Emergency Medical Technician is responsible for the assessment and basic management of medical, trauma and environmental emergencies under the supervision of the staff nurse and / or physician. Assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice; Assists in maintenance of a safe environment and performs under the direction and supervision of the ED Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.
Emergency Medical Technician is responsible for the assessment and basic management of medical, trauma and environmental emergencies under the supervision of the staff nurse and / or physician. Assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice; Assists in maintenance of a safe environment and performs under the direction and supervision of the ED Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.
Operates, maintains, and repairs boilers, chillers, exhaust fans, air handling units, and auxiliary equipment in the facility. Is responsible for equipment rounds and maintains daily log of plant operations. Operates, maintains and repairs emergency power generators and prime moving equipment. Maintains, tests, and regenerates water softeners. Individual also does water analysis, treatment, and control on boilers, softeners, cooling towers, hot water, and condensate water. Individual must also repair ice machines, freezers and refrigerators and perform preventative maintenance on such equipment. Responsible to see elevators, fire control, and alarm systems are in operating condition, does repairs throughout the facility as required, does basic safety analysis of biomedical equipment as needed, and monitors work orders on shift. Individual must be able to work all shifts and any day of week.
- Staff RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the Shift Nursing Supervisor.
- The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for, neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and older adults.
- The Registered Nurse coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directs and guides the OR Technician and other personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
- Works with other departments to provide a continuum of care and co-workers to provide continuous, quality patient care, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization.
- Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures.
- Responsible for participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
- Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.

Performs Diagnostic Radiographic Procedures according to department protocols, HFAP/TJC/local regulatory/CMS, State and Federal Regulations. Functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in PI/QC activities. Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
The Collector is responsible for the follow-up performed on insurance balances or self pay accounts to ensure payment without delay is received from the insurance companies or uninsured patients or the account is converted to another financial payer. Communicates clearly and efficiently by phone and in person with our clients and staff members. Maintains productivity standards and reports. Obtains updated demographic information and all necessary information needed to comply with insurance billing requirements. Forwards updated information to responsible staff members for computer changes. Operates computer to input follow up notes and retrieve collection and patient information. Is able to write effective appeals to insurance companies.
