The Clinic Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing and influencing the Urgent Care Staff activities and the delivery of Business Services while maintaining continuous quality improvement. The Clinic Supervisor maintains operations within budgetary parameters. Effectively interacts with patient, physicians, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional business conduct and service. The Clinic Supervisor is accountable to the Director and Executive Director for the day-today management of personnel, including staffing, credential monitoring, time-keeping, employee evaluation, counseling, interview and selection of staff within established SMMG and regulatory guidelines. The Clinic Supervisor spends 80% + of his/her time is spent on the aforementioned management activities.
The Call Center Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service when handling calls, a required daily average of 90-140 calls per day through our inbound call center. Along with meeting a daily call count, there are various other individual and team goals set including but not limited to; handle time, hold time, abandoned %, etc. The representative’s scheduling responsibilities include, following set templates, scheduling per each provider/clinic preferences following the provided resource material along with properly assessing the appointment request and patient history to determine the visit type and providing detailed and concise visit notes. Data entry when registering new patients and updating existing charts is also required. Attention to detail is crucial to eliminate potential errors in demographics and registration. Outbound calls are also made on a less frequent basis when necessary.

Financial Counselor determines patient liability based on benefits and advises patient of their liability. Prior to scheduled elective procedures notifies patient of financial responsibility. Make arrangements for payment from patient or guarantor by time of discharge. Assists patient with financial arrangements, and refers qualified patients to government assist programs. The incumbent also serves as financial counseling liaison for the department. Maintains effective communication skills, including verbal, written and telephone. Proficient in mathematical skills. Ability to communicate with school age, adolescent, young adult, middle adult and older adults.
Under the supervision of the Director, the Payment Review Specialist position is responsible for accurate and timely payment analysis of managed care contracts to determine that appropriate reimbursement is received. Utilizing many complex and varying regulations, guidelines and systems, analyzes payments received from insurance companies to assure maximum and correct reimbursement of Hospital�s receivables. Proactively works with payers and in-house resources to identify and resolve issues that hinder optimal and correct account payment. Utilizes and applies the appropriate State and Federal regulations in order to assure compliance in payment practices.
Advanced Imaging I use equipment to visualize internal structures, blood flow and obtain measurements. American College of Radiology (ACR) and Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) are the 2 guiding bodies used in Imaging. In the Radiology settings, ACR is followed. In the Cardio-vascular Ultrasound setting, IAC is followed. Cardio-Vascular Sonographer practice following Protocols and Techniques as per scribed by the Cardio-Vascular Medical Director. Advanced Imaging I, practice following the protocols and techniques as per scribed by Imaging Medical Director. All Advanced Imaging I, will practice their skills within the scope of their credentials and with a valid written physician’s order always. Skill evaluations will be done by the area supervisor or preceptor assigned. Advanced Imaging I will perform, under the supervision of a physician and complete exams per protocol using diagnostic criteria; completes required information on PACS. Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the Imaging Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department including document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion. Meets all requirements set forth by accreditation (ICAEL, ICAVL and ACR) as appropriate and governing bodies, including JCAHO, federal and state bodies, and department-specific requirements. The Coding & Compliance Coordinator is responsible for coding and development of services and processes to be utilized by physicians and staff in multiple locations. Communicates clearly and efficiently by phone and in person with the physicians and staff members. Is current with regulation standards and reports irregularities with billing, claims, documentation, etc. Audits and reports on physician coding and applies corrective action. Is available for all staff for coding, regulation and documentation review. Maintains all necessary information needed to comply with insurance billing requirements.
The Collector is responsible for the follow-up performed on insurance balances or self pay accounts to ensure payment without delay is received from the insurance companies or uninsured patients or the account is converted to another financial payer. Communicates clearly and efficiently by phone and in person with our clients and staff members. Maintains productivity standards and reports. Obtains updated demographic information and all necessary information needed to comply with insurance billing requirements. Forwards updated information to responsible staff members for computer changes. Operates computer to input follow up notes and retrieve collection and patient information. Is able to write effective appeals to insurance companies.
