The Certified Scrub Tech I is an employee with less than 1 year of scrubbing experience. Within one year of employment must demonstrate competency and proficiency as primary scrub in general, urology and gyn procedures. CST I will cross train in eyes, vascular, ENT/Plastics, labor and delivery, and ortho procedures, including but not limited to hand specialty basic spine procedures (laminectomies), sports medicine, and total joint/knee procedures.
